The real news coming out of the show based on IFC’s history anyway will likely be Roy Broughton winning the light heavyweight tournament by defeating Karl Lange and Jeremy Rosales. One issue in this tournament was whether Broughton should have been penalized or perhaps even disqualified in round 1 of the Rosales fight when the Team Cesar Gracie fighter deliberately threw a kick to the head of a downed opponent. Rosales made it to the end of the round but in round 2 just didn’t seem the same and was quickly dispatched by TKO to award Broughton the win.
